True colors

Once again here comes the problems
I never dealt with
This feeling is becoming to common
And has rendered me helpless
This is the hidden pain I was saving
Here you can have this
I'm done giving up here's that white flag I was waving
Still trapped in my own thoughts
hoping someone rescue me before I get too lost
Neglected my eyes
Because what the mirror reflected
And the image it suggested
Damaged my pride
Never mind that the beauty of life has been deprived
Scared to ask the Lord why
So I tried
To look to a man for the truth
But all he did was lie
Why?
After time illusions fade away
True colors is all i can say
Tried to hit the breaks
I'm about to crash may day may day
Looking at the people around me
Praying I don't turn out the same way
Cause in my city death is just a second away
But I could never leave because my heart is in the same place
The same placed that raised me
Slaved me
Black and white is comfortable
But seeing true colors saved me
The same life that amazed me
Is the same life that caused pain to me
After illusions fade away
True colors is all I can say
