Someone In The Crowd

Who am I that no one knows
Who am I that no one sees
Who am I that no one care for
I am only trying to be me

Could I be he or she that cry in the night
Could I be he or she that gave up the fight
Whom could I be that want things to be right
Am I someone that others do spite

You are you, I do think you know
Proud of yourself, with a Heart of Gold

I could be someone that gives all my love
I could be someone that others do love

I smile, frown, cry and laugh with you
I do many things that most others won’t do

Am I someone you see each day
Am I someone thats just in the way

Strong or weak, which do you see
People of all races do see me

You see me every day
You see me when I pass your way

I have done bad and good
We all... been down and we have stood

I am there with you in a place
I am the one with the nameless face

The heart is the place that hold our soul
So many have died young, and many lived old

I am old, young, bad and good
I am someone that would like to be understood

If you see me passing your way
Would you tell me to have a good day

I could be a child that will make you feel proud
But no my friend, I’m just someone in the crowd
