ENVY

“Envy comes from people’s ignorance of, or lack of belief in, their own gifts.” – Jean Vanier

ARE YOU SO BLIND THAT YOU CAN'T SEE

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND ME?

YEAH YOU SEE THE NICE THINGS I HAVE

BUT DO YOU REALLY KNOW THE STRUGGLES OF MY PAST?

HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION NOT TO BE LIKE YOU

TRY FOR ONE DAY TO WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES

WORKING A 40 HR WORK WEEK COME HOME AND STUDY

NOT 2 MENTION A RAISING A 4 YR OLD WITH NO1 TO HELP ME

CAN'T CALL ON YOU WHEN I AM DOWN

SHOOT LOOK AT THE WAY YOU FROWN...

YOUR LIFE IS A TOTAL MESS AND YOU CAN'T SEE

YOU WANNA CHANGE? HA THE COST OF CHANGE IS FREE

JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T SEE ME DOWN AND OUT

DOESN'T MEAN THAT MY LIFE IS ALL PRAISES AND SHOUTS

SEE I SMILE TO UPLIFT IGNORANT PEOPLE LIKE YOU

WALKING IN THESE SHOES IS NO EASY TASK

BUT I'VE LEARNED FROM THE MISTAKES OF MY PAST

I'M A CHILD OF GOD AND AM COVERED BY HIS BLOOD

I KNOW THAT EVERYTHING I HAVE CAME FROM ABOVE

WHEN YOU APPRECIATE THE THINGS YOU HAVE

GOD CAN THEN RELEASE TO YOU THE RIGHT PATH

THE PATH THAT LEADS TO HIS RICHES AND GLORY

AND THEN TO, YOU CAN TELL THIS STORY

YOU ALREADY ARE BLESSED AS AM I

BABY GIRL ITS TIME FOR YOU TO OPEN YOUR EYES
